‘A better, greener Britain’ was announced today as part of the government’s holistic strategy to decarbonise transport which set out its grand ambition of reaching net zero across the whole system by 2050.
The logistics sector accounts for eight per cent of the UK workforce, employing a total of 2.35 million people both directly and indirectly. This, in the face of a period of global economic cooling, gives just cause for those in the industry to be a little worried, says Dan Male, Editor of TLJ.
